Paul De Martini has been a San Diego resident for over 30 years. From his youth, gardens have been a special experience. It was his desire to create residential landscaping plans and to share his landscape architectural design experience with others which prompted him to start landscape design company Classic Gardens in 1985.

The landscape design company was conceived as a Design/Build firm specializing in landscape architectural design and residential landscaping plans with the ability to follow the development of a garden landscape design from concept through installation to completion. Much of the work is performed by the firm's own crews with the exception of specialty tasks outsourced to others.
